This website is operated by Themis Expert Witness, LLC, which provides expert witness and litigation consulting services to attorneys and law firms in California, Washington, and Oregon. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Themis Expert Witness, LLC.

Information you give us. When you submit the consultation form, we collect the name, law firm, email address, telephone number, specialty, jurisdiction, and matter description you choose to provide. The form asks you not to include privileged or confidential client information, and you should not do so.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps, for security and reliability purposes. If web analytics are enabled on this site, they collect aggregate usage data such as pages viewed and approximate region.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use submitted information for advertising or share it with advertising networks.

Information submitted through the consultation form is used to respond to your enquiry, run a conflict check, and — if you engage us — administer the engagement. Server log and analytics data are used to keep the site secure and to understand which material attorneys find useful.

Submitting the consultation form does not create an expert-retention agreement, an attorney-client relationship, or any confidential relationship. Until an engagement is confirmed in writing and a conflict check has been completed, information you send should be treated as unprotected. Send only the general posture of the matter in a first message.

We share information only where necessary: with service providers who operate this site and deliver form submissions to us (our hosting provider and our email delivery provider), with an expert in our network where evaluating your matter requires it, and where required by law or legal process.

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain conflict-check records, and are then deleted or archived. This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you have submitted by contacting us using the details below. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that statute. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

This site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. If analytics or other optional cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.

This site is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
